My husband's father had Diabetes and didn't take care of himself at all and it killed him. It also runs on his mothers side.
He'd been having some symptoms at work recently, a couple BAD spells actually... and went to the doctor.
They tested his sugar there... he'd been fasting and it was 100 so he was sent for blood work and sent home with a meter and a return apt.
What seems strange to me, but again, I know nothing about this, is that all his symptoms seem to be LOW sugar not high. The highest it's been in the last 24 hours is 116 and that was about 5 hours after he'd had anything to eat and even laid down and took a nap.
It just seems to me that the levels are all over the place and they aren't what you'd expect or think they'd be when they are...
Also does heavy exercise affect sugar levels?
Thanks in advance.
