I know there is a +/- 20% with the meters but is there a difference in the strips as well? I have been testing with an accu-chek advantage for a few months and it always reads arount 8-12points higher than my ultra2 and contours. Last few batches of strips have averaged 80-90 FBL and around 100-110 PP.
On my newest batch of strips it reads about 10 points higher across the board. I'm pretty certain it's the difference in the strips because it started immediately upon using this new batch. Anybody else notice this?

I have the Xtra and the Profile. And these two dont have a strip problem. I can even use last batch strips and it reads on target. BUT I did find that with the One touch, accuchek and Freestyle did that.
I think with them doing and redesigning strips there will be a lot of mis readings like what your talking about.
Oh and one thing I did also notice,, maybe you did too. When the strips are chilled, like early in the morning just before the heat kicks up for getting up, they read wrong! I didnt get error readings just crazy readings.
