Doctor is Sick

I got a phone call on Monday from the clinic. The staff doctor has a Streph Throat. My appointment had to be cancelled and rescheduled. I'll know more about my situation in about a week. Doctor at clinic is only in on Tuesday's and I hope she gets better soon as I don't want to have to be rescheduled again.

Hey! Doctors aren't supposed to get sick, are they? Something about that just doesn't seem natural :)

Hmmmmmmmm...where do doctors go when they get sick? That's right up there with "how do you pack bubble wrap when you ship it" :p

That really bites about your doc, I know you have been anxious to get things sorted out. Hopefully things will get on track this week and you can get to see the doc.

I had never thought about it.I used to think what they will do if they get sick.Did they consult other doctor or do they try to help on their own.

Well, I guess doctors also get sick as they are also human. Most people think that as they are doctors, they won't get sick as they are not supposed to be sick as they have plenty of knowledge on how to live a healthy life. Well, let me say this! A well maintained car also break down occasionally!

I've seen doctors that smoke:ohmy:...you'd think that if anyone knows about the dangers of smoking, they would! Oh well, everyone has their vices...

Anyway, I remember some time ago when I was getting ready to have surgery and had a health discussion with my surgeon. I explained to him I wasn't on any medications and he was surprised since so many common American diseases run in my family. Somehow we started talking about high blood pressure and he told me that he was on blood pressure medication:ohmy:. I had to tease him by saying he needs to make sure he's medicated before he operates on me!:lulz:. That was four years ago--the surgeon did a great job and I made it through just fine. But can you imagine a surgeon getting sick during surgery?!? Scary...

doctors do also get sick of course they are not that immune to all diseases too, well, maybe more aware of there own help as much as we do, who will gonna conduct check-ups if they are not in good shape.
